The Weekly Muse: 27th Edition
Welcome to The Weekly Muse, a behind the scenes look at weekly happenings, musings, and favorite things that caught my eye. I bet you’ll like them too!
My Week at a Glance
Oh.my.goodness. What a whirlwind this past week was. And I absolutely cannot believe that December has arrived!
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was great – my feet still hurt and everything is sore, but my heart is full.

Thankfully, my daughter and granddaughters come over on Wednesday and early on Thanksgiving day to help me prepare most of the dishes.
I honestly couldn’t do it without them and it’s a great way to create a lot of memories.
We may look like a completely relaxed and in control bunch here, but what you’re really seeing are four exhausted souls who are scrambling about thirty minutes before dinner is served.
Oh – and ignore the missing cabinet door. That’s a project that has been waiting for my contractor to complete since April. We won’t talk about that.
Sunday Scripture
Today, December 1st marks the beginning of Advent for 2024.
Advent is celebrated in many different ways, but overall it’s a time when Christians look forward with anticipation to the second coming of Christ.
The theme for the first week of Advent is HOPE. Hope in the promises of Jesus.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope. Psalm 130: 5, ESV
Inspiring Ideas and Fun Finds
My friend Amy, decorated such a pretty tree for her dining room. I love the addition of the vintage brass container, too.
These preserved boxwood wreaths with dusty blue velvet bows are so fun. Isn’t it funny how the smallest things can make such an impact?
I love this place setting idea and you can find so many great Christmas table decor ideas here.
This gold antelope gift wrap is calling my name. Such a fun print and it would go with everything! I reminds me of the rug in my living room.
This Christmas tree charcuterie board would make such a statement on your appetizer table. I really want to do this when we entertain.
