How pretty is that vintage blue and floral vase? A pair of them came home with me from a local consignment store and they totally inspired my fall decorating this year.

I’ve been saying for weeks that my fall tour is coming, but sometimes life gets in the way. The Lord willing, I’ll finally be able to share it on Monday. In the meantime, that’s a little sneak peek for you.

My Week at a glance

My heart has been heavy all week long. In addition to world events, you’ve probably heard of the utter devastation that took place in the North Carolina mountains as Helene pushed through. It seems that each report is worse than the one before it.

Of course the mountains aren’t the only place where there is currently much suffering going on.

The destruction from Helene hit especially close to home for me as I spent several years living in Asheville when I was young.

Many of the small towns that I visited both in my youth and as an adult have been simply wiped out.

As always, amongst all of the great tragedy there are many signs of hope. I know in my heart of hearts that God has this under control and that we have nothing to fear.

But it’s still hard.

Sunday Scripture
