The Weekly Muse: 19th Edition
Welcome to The Weekly Muse, a behind the scenes look at weekly happenings, musings, and favorite things that caught my eye. I bet you’ll like them too!
How adorable is that little enamel pagoda shaped box. I recently found it at a local consignment store. It’s only 4″ tall, but I thought it deserved its own moment in the sun. LOL
My week at a glance
Hurricane Helene certainly dominated the news here this week. We were on the eastern edge of it so we only experienced quite a bit of wind and strong wind gusts.
Our normal “lake” formed in our front yard and we have quite a few branches down. Thankfully, we didn’t lose any trees in our yard this go-round.
Hurricanes are always devastating, but my heart is broken for many of the small towns in the North Carolina mountains.
From what I’ve seen, some of them were practically wiped out by flooding.
Sunday Scripture
He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.
He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.
He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs; who can stand before his cold?
He sends out his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow and the waters flow. Psalm 147: 15-18, ESV
