My week at a glance

Mentally, I’m back here this week. But I have something important to ask you.

Did you know that this blog has been around for 13 years??? I’ve been helping people with their decorating a whole lot longer than that though. (Have you ever read my About Me page?)

But this blog isn’t about me. Nope, not at all – I began this journey so that I could help YOU.

Helping others with their homes is my passion.

As you can imagine, I’ve covered thousands of decorating ideas, tips, and decorating tutorials.

But now I’d like to know – what do you need help with? When it comes to decorating your home, what thing stumps you the most?

What topics would you like to see covered? Please don’t be shy – leave me a comment or shoot me an email (worthingcourtblog@gmail.com).

On my wishlist

These mums are so lifelike. I can’t wait to add them to my fall decor this year.

Are these not the sweetest Laura Ashley sheets that you ever did see? Just precious!

Fabulous inspiration

If you plant these late summer flowers they will be blooming when fall comes.

Speaking of the garden. Are you growing zucchini this summer? If so, this recipe for baked parmesan zucchini looks incredible.

Last, but not least are these decoupaged pumpkins, you can whip up a set of your own using dollar store pumpkins.

I have a variation of my own decoupage pumpkins too!

I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous, my friend!

  1. Hi there!
I’ve long decorated using the blue and white chinoiserie but now it is everywhere. Even antique shops are flooded with it. I’m getting so I can’t stand looking at it.
I’m hoping to repaint my living room and now I think I’m looking for a different color palette all together. Any suggestions on another direction? I like to be different so I’m thinking maybe shades of rose .

  2. I so enjoy your tutorials and have used the rug and the window coverings tips. Where I have the most trouble is with hanging artwork. How high, how close together, selecting the right size for the space, etc. I have so many pieces that are in the 16 x24” range and when I hang them it just looks busy and disjointed even when the subject matter and colors are cohesive. I finally decided to spend $100/hour for a designer to come hang my more important pieces in the public areas of my house and ultimately it was worth the 8 hours it took. However my main bedroom is not done but my designer budget is gone. Help, please! Thank you.

    1. Thank you so much for your feedback! I’ll see if I can put together a blog post like that soon!

  3. As always, I like it when you show us the start to finish of your decorating. I see you pick a color theme, do a little shopping, collect things together, and then style. Sometimes I get lost in the weeds so I like to see how you do everything. I now have little ribbons on my christmas tree after you showed the tutorial a few years back. Very simple once you know how, but it was invaluable for me to watch and rewind the tutorial a few times. Thank you for all you do and I am glad to see you on here more often!

    1. Thank you for your feedback, Laura. I tend to share the thought process and behind the scenes things in Instagram stories. I haven’t been doing a good job of that lately though. I’ll try to do better! In the meantime, if you have any specific questions about how and why, feel free to shoot me an email at worthingcourtblog@gmail.com.
