This is such a super easy recipe, that I almost didn’t think it worthy of a blog post, but I have been enjoying it so much, I wanted to share it with all of you!

Today I’m joining some of my blogging friends who are also sharing their delicious summer drink recipes! Did you check out the recipe for Limoncello Vodka Collins from Sincerely Marie Designs? Oh my, does it ever look yummy! You’ll find links for everyone else’s summer sips recipes down below.

Let me fill you in on the origin of the recipe for Pomegranate Lemonade. A couple of years ago, my husband and I joined my daughter, husband and granddaughters on a family honeymoon trip to Disney World. My daughter and son-in-law got married right here at Worthing Court and you can read all about that very special weekend right HERE.

It was while at Disney World that I was first served the refreshing Pomegranate Lemonade.  Oh me – so yummy!  I immediately came home to look for some at my grocery store, but it isn’t to be found anywhere.  In fact, a Google search for Pomegranate Lemonade didn’t yield any results for who might make it.

I’m guessing that Disney has cornered the market for this yummy treat.  So….I decided to see if I could replicate what I had enjoyed so much during the week we spent at Disney.

Aside from the great taste, the many health benefits of pomegranate juice make this deliciously refreshing drink even better:

  • pomegranates contain higher levels of antioxidants than most other fruit juices
  • the juice of a single pomegranate contains more than 40% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin C
  • cancer researchers have found that it may stop the growth of prostate cancer cells
  • it can help improve digestion
  • pomegranate juice is a powerful anti-inflammatory

I could go on and on about the health benefits, but I’m sure you get the picture!

  5. Hi there! Is it really only one half cup of pomegranate juice for two quarts of lemonade? That doesn’t seem enough for the juice to be so red! It’s early, maybe I’m missing something!

Suzy, the store was out of pomegranate juice on my last trip so I’ve had to wait to try your lemonade. I decided I would check to see what amount (2 qts?)the pkg of lemonade was suppposed to make as I could not find pkgs either, just canisters. I’m looking fotward to trying it and really enjoy your blog.
